Restylane® in San Diego

Lip Augmentation Treatment Details
After disinfecting the skin, Dr. Eros will deliver Restylane® into the treatment areas using a fine needle. The filler’s formula includes an anesthetic for comfort. The most common side effects are swelling and bruising. The swelling can last up to 24 hours, therefore icing the treatment area is advisable. The treatment can easily take less than 30 minutes with no downtime. Afterward, patients can resume their normal skincare regimen and daily activities.

Who is a candidate for Restylane®?
Any adult age 21 and older in good health is able to have this procedure. It should not be done in pregnancy. It is best if the person does not take anticoagulant therapies. People who have hypersensitivity reactions should avoid this product.
Will there be any side effects from Restylane®?
The most common side effects of Restylane® fillers are mild swelling and bruising from the injections. These will diminish on their own, and you can help decrease the swelling by applying ice. It is essential not to take anti-inflammatories or any medications that may increase bleeding during the week prior to the injections.
Who can perform my Restylane® injections?
Because of the popularity of dermal fillers in San Diego, many spas and salons have begun offering anti-aging treatments such as Restylane®. However, for your safety, it is crucial to remember that only a skilled, medically-qualified practitioner should perform Restylane® injections.
What is hyaluronic acid?

We take every precaution to ensure your comfort during the brief, in-office procedure. We perform the injections using a small, fine needle, and Restylane®’s formula includes an anesthetic called lidocaine to numb the skin. Most people find the treatment is quite tolerable; however, if you are still worried about pain, ask about a topical numbing cream.
What can I expect from Restylane® Injections?
Most commonly you may see swelling and bruising from the injections. It is important not to take any anti-inflammatories the week prior to the injections. Icing afterwards will decrease the swelling.
