The procedure itself is short with minimal discomfort. I use a topical anesthetic to make the procedure more comfortable. Usually 1 to 2 syringes of a filler are used to complete the desired effect. The results will surely last up to 8 months and touch-ups can always be done when needed. Once injected beneath the skin, the hyaluronic acid begins to work with the elastin and collagen of the skin. Because of this immediate and long-lasting reaction, great progress is made instantly, but the skin continues to change and improve as long as a month after the procedure. The procedure itself only takes about 15 minutes.
